Ebook publishing services
Give the digital edition a considered route.
An ebook brings together a settled text, a digital reading experience, a cover and the information that describes the book. Publishing support considers how those parts relate to the digital edition and the route you intend to explore.

The service
Ebook publishing connects the edition to its chosen path.
This service concerns publication planning for a digital book: identifying the edition, considering the materials and book information it may need, and checking the requirements of the route being discussed.
Its scope must be defined for the manuscript and intended route. It does not, by itself, confirm which platform will carry the book or include formatting, account setup, distribution or other services.
When to begin
Know what version of the ebook you are preparing.
You can explore options while the work is still developing. Closer to publication, a stable manuscript and a clear view of the digital edition help identify what remains to be prepared or reviewed.
The text
Identify the current manuscript and any substantive changes still open.
The digital interior
Consider whether the hierarchy, navigation and supporting material have been prepared for digital reading.
The edition plan
Decide which digital edition is under discussion and what publication questions need answers.
Preparation areas
Make the edition coherent before choosing a handoff.
The items below are useful planning topics, not a fixed list of included deliverables. Their exact treatment depends on the chosen route.
01 / CONTENT
Settled text
Confirm the wording, chapter order, front and back matter, and any images or notes intended for the ebook.
02 / READING
Ebook formatting
Consider the digital interior’s structure and navigation as a separate preparation service.
03 / IDENTITY
Cover direction
Review the cover for the digital edition as part of its overall presentation; design scope is separate.
04 / DESCRIPTION
Book information
Gather a title, author name, description and other details that may be requested by the selected route.
05 / SCOPE
Edition decisions
Clarify which version and publication path are intended before requirements are treated as final.
Choosing a route
Check the requirements of the route you choose.
Digital publication paths differ in what they ask of a book’s files, information and presentation. A discussion can compare the route you have in mind with the edition’s current state, then identify what needs checking before a scope is agreed.
The edition
What is the digital book?
Define its content, cover and book details so the proposed edition is clear.
The route
What does that path require?
Confirm the current requirements for the specific route rather than assuming one set of files or details works everywhere.
The scope
What help is needed?
Separate publication planning from formatting, account activity, marketing or distribution where those areas are relevant.
Two distinct services
Formatting prepares the reading experience. Publishing plans the route.
A digital interior can be ready to read while publication details remain undecided. Ebook Formatting and Ebook Publishing address connected but separate questions; neither automatically includes the other.
The edition itself
Ebook Formatting
Considers structure, hierarchy, navigation and visual treatment for digital reading.
The publication path
Ebook Publishing
Considers the edition’s details, materials and current requirements for the chosen digital route.
Related support
Choose the scope that matches the edition.
Book Publishing, Ebook Publishing and Amazon KDP Publishing are distinct service discussions. The same manuscript may lead to several editions or routes, but one service does not automatically provide the others.
Digital edition
Ebook Publishing
Focuses on the digital edition and its selected publication path, without assuming a particular platform.
Physical edition
Book Publishing
Considers the prepared book edition and the decisions needed for its intended publication path.
Specific route
Amazon KDP Publishing
A separately scoped route focused on the platform’s current requirements, without implying affiliation.
Before you begin
Questions about digital publication.
Is ebook publishing the same as ebook formatting?
No. Formatting concerns how the digital book is structured and read. Publishing support considers the edition details and the requirements of the chosen publication route. Each service needs its own agreed scope.
Will my ebook appear on every retailer or in every country?
This page does not promise retailer availability or territories. Any proposed route and its current conditions would need to be reviewed before specific commitments are made.
Does this include setting up my account or an ISBN?
Neither is an automatic inclusion. Account activity and any identifier requirements would need to be discussed and verified for the selected route and project scope.
What if I also want a print book or an Amazon KDP route?
Those are separate service discussions. The editions and routes can be considered together, but their requirements and any support would be defined individually.
